Martin Stockl

Growing up in Prague, Czech Republic, Martin Stockl came to the US with his parents and older brother on political asylum before the end of the communist era, and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. Later, Martin attended Charles University in Prague to study business. Upon his return to the US, he chose to become a Mortgage Loan Originator. For the past ten years Martin helped thousands of clients in California with their real-estate needs.
Martin’s hobbies are Kitesurfing, Diving, Snowboarding, Wake boarding, Mountain biking, Sailing, and other outdoor sports, with a great passion for exotic travel that has taken him to many great countries around the world. After kitesurfing in places like San Francisco, Hood River, Florida, Bahamas, Boracai, Tarifa, Hawaii, Baja Mexico, Ecuador, Vietnam, Micronesia, Los Aves, Los Rogues, Bonaire, Corisau, and the North and South of Brazil, Martin discovered Rio De Janeiro and instantly fell in love with its vibrant culture, friendly people, delicious food, and tropical weather. His stays to Brazil became longer and longer with Rio De Janeiro on top of Martin’s list he re-located there to start MaximRio.
Martin Stockl is IKO (International Kite boarding Organization) and PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified, effectively bilingual in English and Czech, and conversational in Spanish and Portuguese. While Martin oversees all aspects of MaximRio operations, his absolute favorite is showing all his clients the time of their lives while they vacation in Rio. Martin strives to provide his clients with world-class service and customer satisfaction as his number one priority.

Paulino Ferrari

Paulino Ferrari aka Poli is a native Brazilian with Italian roots, who started kitesurfing on skis in early 1996 then on surfboards in 1997. A kitesurf lover, Poli participated in the 1997 World Championships in Maui. Poli is a true ambassador of the sport in Brazil and world-renown in the kitesurfing community. Poli has been involved in the sport since its inception!
After taking a course in 1998 at the Kite-boarding School of Maui, Poli became the first kitesurfing instructor in Brazil. Later in 2002, Poli organized the very first IKO instructors training course in Brazil, which he later introduced to all of South America. Poli also holds a level 2 IKO instructor certificate and he was the first one to obtain one in all of Brazil.
In 1999 Poli became a partner in Vandals Kitestore in Rio, Brazil www.vandals.com.br becoming the first kite-boarding company specializing in kitesurf equipment. In 2000, Poli became one of the founders of the Brazilian Kite boarding Association and later became appointed as the technical director. Poli passion for the sport didn’t stop then, he continued to organize the biggest kitesurfing tour in the World. Finally in 2005, Poli was elected as the President of the Brazilian Kitesurfing Association, a title he held until the end of 2008.
Since the very beginning of the sport until today, Poli is one of the judges on KPWA and PKRS kite surfing tours! He has traveled the world extensively in search of the best kite spots and participated in most events, eventually becoming the publisher of a Brazilian Kite surfing magazine called Gust.
Polis role in MaximRio is extremely important, as thanks to his expertise, passion for adventure travel and contacts in Rio we are able to create a unmatched adventure that will last a lifetime!
 
Kirk Martinez

Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, the close proximity to the Pacific Ocean and Sierra Mountain range gave Kirk the opportunity to experience world class skiing, snowboarding, surfing, sailing, biking, and running. After graduating college from Austin, TX with a Business Management degree he moved back to the Bay Area to join the Silicon Valley High Tech industry. Kirk has over 13 years experience in both domestic and international business relations selling fiber optic solutions to some of the top companies in the world. While acquiring new clients and meeting the high expectations of existing customers, it is his belief that every customer deserves world-class service all the time, no matter what.
Kirk has spent the last 7 years traveling the world pursuing his dreams of adventure, extreme sports, experiencing new cultures & nightlife, while staying and playing in VIP style all the way!
Three years ago his friend Martin suggested he visit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and after experiencing the time of his life in this magical city, his world changed forever. To fuel his passion for Brazil, Kirk has now relocated to Houston, TX to better serve his customers & clients. It is now in Austin that you can also find him on the beach volleyball courts, running in the park or spending quality time with his dog, Carmel. With this move he is a bit closer to Brazil where he plans to ultimately live his dream.
 
Reco Prianto

Reco grew up in the mountains of Southwest Colorado where he developed a taste for adrenaline fueled sports. He continued playing hard during his pursuit of undergraduate degrees in civil and mechanical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Reco lives in California and has been working as a consultant in the fields of oil exploration, energy generation, and real estate development for the last 10 years with a strong emphasis on green and sustainable practices.
In 2006, Reco experienced two major life altering events, he started kiteboarding and he visited Brazil for the first time. Reco has fallen in love with the culture, the music, the food, and the beautiful and warm people during his many trips throughout Brazil. Reco’s hobbies include kiteboarding, traveling, skiing, and spending time with his family and friends all over the world.
Reco is passionate about everything that he does and holds himself and those that he works with to a high level of integrity. Reco is knowledgeable about Brazil and Rio and what you can expect during your vacation with MaximRio. The client’s comfort and satisfaction is Reco’s number one priority and he looks forward to helping you enjoy the “stoke” as you experience Rio like a true “carioca”.
